Colorado police are looking into the murder of two people who were found dead in a dorm room: "Seems to not be a murder-suicide."

Shortly after two bodies were discovered inside a University of Colorado, Colorado Springs dorm room on Friday, authorities declared that a homicide, not a murder-suicide, is the subject of the investigation.
After suffering a single gunshot wound to the head, the two victims were discovered dead at approximately six in the morning on Friday. The department referred to this as a "isolated incident."
On Friday, the campus was placed under temporary lockdown, which lasted for roughly an hour and a half before being lifted. In reaction to the shooting, the university was shuttered for the day.
"We don't believe that there is any ongoing threat to the community at this point," police spokesperson Ira Cronin stated later at a briefing.
"We are in the very early stages of piecing together what happened," police stated on Friday. Notifying the deceased people's relatives is what we are now doing. We are looking into this as an isolated event and don't think there is a continuous threat to the community."
According to the department, there are no arrests or information regarding a suspect.
"We are aware that today has been challenging and that everyone on campus is in mourning. In a statement to teachers and staff, CU Colorado Springs wrote, "We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we have worked through this difficult day. We also added that classes will not be held on campus until Monday, but that it will remain open for those who need emotional support."
